Menyeimbangkan Hidup

Tidak ada satupun manusia yang sempurna. Bahkan jika memang ada manusia yang sempurna, terdapat juga ungkapan bahwa kekurangannya adalah tidak mempunyai kekurangan. Sebenarnya ketidaksempurnaan manusia ini menjadi suatu kelebihan di dalam diri manusia dan membuatnya menjadi indah. Karena memang demikianlah manusia diciptakan oleh Sang Pencipta, yaitu menjadi potongan-potongan puzzle yang saling mengisi dan bersatu untuk membentuk gambar yang indah.

Walaupun begitu, tidak sempurnanya manusia tentu berdampak banyak pada kehidupan sehari-hari, baik untuk dirinya sendiri maupun untuk untuk lingkungan sekitarnya. Manusia kadang bingung dan bimbang untuk melakukan suatu hal. Bahkan setiap kelebihan dari dalam diri manusia sering dibawa hingga ke titik ekstrim sehingga membawa lebih banyak hal-hal buruk daripada hal-hal baik.

Tetapi, segala suatu yang telah diciptakan oleh Sang Pencipta pada dasarnya adalah baik. Sekarang yang harus manusia lakukan adalah belajar menggunakan dan mengelolanya dengan baik. Menyeimbangkan hidup tentu menjadi kunci utama keberhasilan hal tersebut. Seimbang antara berpikir dan bertindak, seimbang antara bekerja dan beristirahat, seimbang antara menangis dan tertawa, seimbang antara bicara dan mendengar, serta seimbang antara hal-hal lainnya.

Hidup dengan seimbang karena Sang Pencipta telah menciptakan segala suatunya dengan seimbang. Hidup dengan seimbang, niscaya dunia menjadi tempat yang lebih indah.


Selamat menunaikan ibadah puasa bagi semua teman yang beragama Islam untuk 30 hari ke depan.

Dilema

Menjadi pengajar privat sebenarnya menjadi salah satu dilema dalam hidup gue. Dipandang dari satu sisi, gue sangat membutuhkan pekerjaan ini untuk mencari pengalaman mengajar dan juga mendapatkan tambahan uang saku. Gue sebenernya juga ingin sedikit mandiri dalam masalah keuangan karena kondisi ekonomi keluarga gue tidak terlalu baik.

Tetapi jika dipandang dari sisi lainnya, mengajar privat untuk mata pelajaran yang diajarkan pada institusi pendidikan formal menunjukkan ada yang tidak beres pada sistem pendidikan ini. Siswa seharusnya mendapat pelajaran dan pendidikan yang cukup di sekolah atau di manapun tempat dia menuntut ilmu. Jika siswa merasa kurang, maka seharusnya siswa meminta tambahan tersebut pada guru atau pengajar pada institusi formal tersebut, bukan mencari tambahan dari luar. Lagipula biaya pendidikan yang semakin mahal seharusnya membuat siswa dan orang tua semakin peduli dengan kondisi pendidikan ini.

Pada kenyataannya, saat ini kebanyakan siswa dan orang tua banyak mencari tambahan dari luar, termasuk dari gue, untuk mencari tambahan ini. Hal ini diperburuk dengan adanya rasa kurang percaya diri pada sebagian besar orang bahwa tanpa tambahan tersebut, siswa tidak dapat mengikuti pelajaran di sekolahnya. Sekolah serta institusi formal lainnya pun nampaknya tidak begitu peduli dengan masalah ini.

Permasalah ini sudah semakin parah dan meradang. Bahkan semakin banyak orang yang menjadikan ini sebagai lahan mencari uang tanpa memandang esensi pekerjaan seorang guru. Mereka terkadang tidak tahu bahwa hal terpenting menjadi guru adalah mendidik dan mengajar, bukan mencari uang. Tapi gue pun ikut serta dalam hal ini, membuat ladang mata pencaharian di atas kesalahan sistem. Dilematis, tapi diperlukan.

Happy and Sad News

Two days ago, Saturday-9th September 2006, my family has one new member. Let me introduce you to my cute little kitten (I still don't have a name for her). You can see her at these two photos.

Unfortunately she fell sick at Saturday night and she couldn't even stand and eat yesterday morning. But I and my mom decided to force her drink some milk. At Sunday night, she was going better. She could walk around and also sit at my legs or my lap or my arms. I was so happy and hope that she would be going better and better. But this morning she is dead. My mom buried her even before I wake up. I will miss her. Though she stays at my house only for two days, I already like her.

When you look a little closer at the tree in "White Tree" picture, you will see that the flowers are mixture from purple to white colours. It seems that the flower has a violet colour when it blooms and growing to paler colour to white when it reach full bloom.

This flower reminds me to always struggle in life. I feels really down right now, but this flower somehow gives me a hope and a lesson that God never leaves his creations, that everything will be beautiful when the time comes.

I took this picture and "Beginning of Journey" when I went to my college to attend a class that starts at 6:30 a.m. Very early isn't it?? But the lecturer came at 6:55 a.m. *sigh* It took about 10 minutes to take these photos and 8 other photos (I don't post those here).

The Flowers Blooming

It seems all flowers in my campus blooming right now. Can you see the pink and orange colour at the far right side of these photos?? Beautiful isn't it?? These two photos taken with different orientation, portrait and landscape. I can't decide which one is I like the best, so I post all the photos.






I will try to capture another views (of course with a lot of flowers) in my campus tomorrow. I hopes that the weather will be nice tomorrow.


Side News:

1. Steve Irwin died after being struck in the chest by the stingray's barb. I like his show (The Crocodile Hunter) very much though I rarely watch the show now. May you rest in peace in heaven and God bless your family always.
   
2. I get Aston Villa's mp3s today. This is not an English football club. I saw Aston Villa's performance at Journee Francaise event at ITB and it was stunning. Unfortunately I don't understand the French language they used. Their rock style isn't unique but I like their music and I think they a lot better when they perform on a stage. It's expanding my mind about European musisc.
   

A Correction

Few days ago, after I organized all my photos, I realized that one of my photos that had been posted in this blog had a orientation mistake. It has "A Flower" title and posted in this post. From the first time posted this photo, I feel there is something wrong with this picture. But now a correction has been made. So please visit this post.

Penampilan Rambut Baru

Semangat baru harus dibarengi penampilan baru. Mmm... ga segitunya sih. Sebenernya hari Jumat yang lalu temen gue ada yang ngajak potong rambut. Kebetulan ada temen, akhirnya gue ikut potong rambut juga karena gue ga suka potong rambut kalau harus nunggu sendirian. Tiba-tiba muncul deh "kecentilan" gue, dan gue pengen nyobain creambath.

Jadinya, hari Minggu kemaren gue potong rambut juga plus creambath. Duhh.. ternyata enak juga ya creambath tambahan dipijat juga. Tapi ga enaknya itu waktu potong rambut yang super lama dan biaya yang mahal juga. Bayangin aja mulai dari jam 18:11:35 sampai selesainya jam 19:41:xx. Buang waktu banyak banget deh.

Sesampainya gue di rumah:
mami: "Loh potong rambut ya??"
gue: "Iya. Sama creambath juga."
mami: *ngga ngomong apa-apa sambil muka terbengong-bengong*
gue: "Ga apa-apa donk kalo sekali-kali memanjakan diri."
mami: *ketawa*
